You might feel constantly on edge, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that don’t seem to change—no matter how much you try to think your way through them. You may be used to holding everything together on the outside, while internally feeling tense, reactive, or disconnected.
These experiences are often rooted in past experiences that your nervous system hasn’t fully processed. These patterns can sometimes look like anxiety, but are often rooted in trauma or a nervous system that has learned to stay on high alert. When your system has learned to stay alert for danger, it can feel difficult to relax, trust yourself, or feel fully present—even when things seem “fine” on the surface.
I work with adults who are experiencing:
- Persistent feelings of being on edge or hyperaware
- Emotional overwhelm or reactivity
- Difficulty feeling safe, grounded, or connected
- Patterns in relationships that feel hard to change
- Self-doubt, shame, or a harsh inner voice
Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware. They understand their patterns, but still feel stuck in them. This isn’t a failure—it’s often a sign that your nervous system needs a different kind of support.
In our work together, we focus on helping your system process what feels stuck so that your responses begin to shift—not just intellectually, but emotionally and physically. I often use EMDR therapy as part of this process.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and paced to what feels manageable for you. We begin by building a sense of safety and developing tools to help you feel more grounded before moving into deeper processing work.
I offer trauma-focused therapy through secure online sessions for clients located in:
- Wisconsin
- New York
- Iowa
If you’re used to holding everything together on your own, this can be a space where you don’t have to. We can move at your pace and begin to make sense of what’s been difficult—together.
